TRUE BLUE® ON THE JOB

''The e70 withstands the fall and reads consistently. I like the shock absorber and the ease of grabbing - actually, the whole thing is almost a handle. It's different, it's unique, it's easy to see whether it's cloudy or sunny or under natural light, fluorescent or incandescent.'' - TR, Contract Carpenter

TR and his partner own a contracting business in the Minneapolis, MN area where they work with a crew of ten building high-end homes. TR feels that confidence in his tools is critical to his job and goes on to say, ''The ability for a level to take a hit and remain accurate is essential. Because of the shock absorbing system of the e70, I trust it every time, even if I happen to drop it.''

Jenni Becker According to Jenni Becker, President of Empire, ''Our technical team has significantly improved the design and construction of the e70 for the rigors of today's fast-paced construction site environment. The levels in the True Blue® professional series are built to help craftsmen save time and money while they produce the highest quality projects possible.''

Day to day use on the jobsite makes dropping a level, or having one fall from a high point, almost inevitable. Empire engineers solved this problem with eshock™. This new shock absorbing system features end caps made of a soft elastomer that helps to ensure accuracy, even after many drops. Empire tested eshock by performing multiple tests, dropping e70's on concrete from varying heights between 6 and 10 feet in order to check all horizontal and vertical reads. The True Blue® e70 maintained its accuracy and frame integrity, even after all other tested levels failed. After many falls, the e70 was still accurate within five-ten-thousandth of an inch (.0005'') per inch in all level and plumb reading positions. This standard of accuracy is equivalent to a maximum error of only one-thirty-seconds of an inch (or one-half the width of a dime) over six feet.

''Everyone knows that levels get dropped at the work site,'' says Becker. True Blue''What good is a level if it doesn't stay accurate even after it's dropped? Based on our stringent testing, we're confident that in head-to-head tests, the e70 from Empire will be the last level standing! With accuracy guaranteed, no level that is commercially available to craftsmen is more accurate than our True Blue® series.''
