MUKWONAGO, Wisc. May 16, 2006
– Empire recently conducted customer
research at construction sites nationwide and found
that one of the key requirements of a magnetic torpedo
level is the ability to read it quickly, and accurately,
in virtually all lighting conditions. The em81.10
features the trademarked True Blue® vial with patent-pending
blue bands that darken and define the bubble perimeter
to provide enhanced visibility. True Blue® vials
are produced through a proprietary process called
Advanced Concentric Molding (ACM), pioneered by Empire. The
ACM process assures repeatability so that all True Blue® vials meet the same stringent standards for
accuracy, consistency, and concentricity.
.
“Since the introduction of the e70 and the em71 in
our True Blue® series, we have been enhancing other
levels and measuring tools to the new standards of
accuracy, durability and visibility,” said Empire President,
Jennie Becker. “The em81.10 torpedo is a work
horse tool that significantly upgrades our existing
torpedo levels. Higher standards are what Empire
is all about.”
.
This new magnetic torpedo level is a strong addition
to the True Blue® professional series of levels and
measuring tools from Empire Level Manufacturing Corporation.
These levels maintain accuracy that's equal to the
thickness of a piece of printer paper over a one-inch
length, even after numerous 17-foot drops on to concrete.
.
Empire has found that accuracy and
durability are the two things professional craftsmen
want most from a level. Numerous
independent drop tests, conducted in the lab and on job-sites,
have shown that the Empire em81.10 maintains accuracy
to five ten-thousandths (.0005) of an inch per inch in
all ten working positions. And, rare earth magnets that
are embedded in the heavy-duty aluminum frame stabilize
the em81.10 with a holding strength to weight ratio of
1.85 so it stays where it sticks – on metal studs, door
frames or any metal surface – assuring precision. The
em81.10 is ideal for welders, steel fabricators, plumbers,
electricians and professional contractors.
.
Other features of the
True Blue em81.1 torpedo levels include:
• V-groove for
pipe and conduit
• 45 degree vial for conduit
• 10-inch heavy-duty solid
aluminum body
• weighs just .5 pounds
• Lifetime warranty, the strongest
warranty in the industry
.
True Blue® squares and Empire levels are sold in
more than 4,000 locations throughout the U.S.

MUKWONAGO, Wisc. March 3, 2006
— The
new True Blue® professional series of combination squares
are now available from Empire Level Manufacturing Corporation.
.
Expanding on their highly successful True Blue® I-beam
and box level launches, this new square series features
enhanced accuracy and blade readability. The new etched
stainless steel matte finished blades are easier to read
in all light conditions with distinct blade markings.
The matte finish reduces glare while the etching allows
for easier and quicker reading of the blade. The stainless
steel material will resist rust and corrosion.
.
These combination squares are guaranteed accurate for
squareness to a tolerance of .001” per inch. The die cast
zinc heads are milled using a single point of reference
to ensure accuracy, a process unique to Empire. The new
“e” squares are available in 6-inch, 12-inch, and 16-inch
blade lengths.
.
“With our strong history of innovation and customer awareness,
it is only natural that we introduce these new squares
for professionals who work in metal, welding, and woodworking”
said Jenni Becker, president of Empire Level.
“These new
True Blue® squares feature our unique blue vial as a symbol
of the improved accuracy and visibility. These new combination
squares will become the choice of professionals and hobbyists
that demand the best tools for
their jobs”.
.
Empire’s customer research at construction sites nationwide
has shown that one of the key requirements of a good square
is the ability to read it quickly, and accurately, in
virtually all lighting conditions. The etched graduations
on the matte finished blades enhance the user’s ability
to read the markings. The squares also feature a True Blue® vial in each head with patent-pending blue bands
that darken and define the bubble perimeter to provide
enhanced visibility. True Blue® vials are produced through
a proprietary process called Advanced Concentric Molding
(ACM), pioneered by Empire. The ACM process assures repeatability
so that all True Blue® vials meet the same stringent standards
for accuracy, consistency, and concentricity.
.
“Another key design concept engineered into these squares
is the unique self aligning drawbolt. Blades can be easily
reversed by the user without causing the drawbolt to fall
out or become mis-aligned.” said Empire Vice President
of Product Development Bob Hickey. “A brass bushing is
even added to hold the scriber pin so that the end user
does not lose it. It’s these details that make Empire
squares the choice of the pro. Durability is integral
to lasting accuracy,” said Becker. “What good is a square
if the blade rusts or corrodes? These new stainless etched
blades are best in class.”
.
Features of the True Blue® squares include:
• Unique self-aligning drawbolt holds the blade firmly
yet
allows for easy blade reversal;
• Brass bushing provides a permanent seat for the scriber;
• Blades are notched for use as a marking gauge;
• Accuracy guaranteed at .001” per inch in squareness;
• Lifetime warranty, the strongest warranty in the industry.
.
“Our technical team at Empire has significantly improved
the design and construction of these squares to meet the
rigors of today’s demanding construction and workshop
environment,” said Becker. “We believe the addition of
these new True Blue® combination squares will help craftsmen
save time and money while they produce the highest quality
projects possible. With True Blue®, the only limitation
is the standards of the craftsman.”
True Blue® squares and Empire levels are sold in more
than 4,000 locations throughout the U.S.

New Empire True Blue® em71 Professional
Magnetic Box Level Stays Where it Sticks
Download

MUKWONAGO, Wisc. November 4, 2005 — The
new em71, the first magnetic box level in the True Blue®
professional series of measuring instruments is now available
from Empire Level Manufacturing Corporation. Like its
non-magnetic predecessor, the e70, this new pro box style
level includes the unique, patented True Blue® solid block
acrylic vial, which contains blue fluid rather than the
traditional yellow fluid, as a symbol of enhanced accuracy,
readability and durability. With over 50 pounds of holding
power on the 48-inch model, all the levels in this new
magnetic series will stay where they stick, assuring precision.
The em71 is available in 24-inch, 48-inch, and 78-inch
lengths.
.
“With our strong history of innovation and customer awareness
it is only natural that we introduce the em71 customized
for professionals who work in drywall, welding, and steel
fabrication,” said Jenni Becker, president of Empire Level.
“These new magnetic models, stabilized with rare-earth
neodymium magnets, have best in class holding power yet
are easily removed with a simple ‘twist-and-pull’ motion.
We believe the em71 will become the choice of professionals
that demand the best tool for their jobs.”
.
Empire’s customer research at construction sites nationwide
has shown that a key requirement of a good level is the
ability to read it quickly, and accurately, in virtually
all lighting conditions. The em71 has True Blue® vials
with patent-pending blue bands that darken and define
the bubble perimeter to provide enhanced visibility. True Blue® vials are produced through a proprietary process
called Advanced Concentric Molding (ACM), pioneered by
Empire. The ACM process assures repeatability so that
all True Blue® vials meet the same stringent standards
for accuracy, consistency, and concentricity.
.
“Another key design concept engineered in the em71 is
that the neodymium magnets are carefully positioned in
the level frame to line up precisely with the standard
spacing of hinge plates,” said Empire Vice President of
Product Development Bob Hickey. “This allows professional
workers to use the em71 level on both wooden and steel
door jambs.”
.
“The True Blue® series includes the first and only contractor
levels that are guaranteed accurate to five-ten-thousandth
(.0005) of an inch per inch in all working positions,”
said Hickey.
.
Shock resistance and protection ensures that an accurate
level will stay accurate on the job. To meet the highest
standard of performance, the em71’s new E-Shock™ co-polymer
end caps are made of a dual density elastomer. This new
level was subjected to multiple drop tests on concrete
at varying heights between six and 10 feet, with both
horizontal and vertical drops. After numerous drops, the
em71 was still accurate to five-ten-thousandth (.0005)
of an inch per inch in all level and plumb reading positions.
This standard of accuracy is equivalent to a maximum error
of just one-thirty-seconds of an inch (or one-half the
width of a dime) over six feet.
.
“Durability is integral to lasting accuracy,” said Becker.
“What good is a level if it doesn’t stay accurate even
after it’s dropped? We’re confident that in tests, or
the real world, the em71 will be the last level standing!”
.
Other features of the em71 include:
• tapered high contrast bezels that frame vials in all
reading positions;
• better ergonomic frame geometry; and
• a lifetime limited warranty, the strongest warranty
in the industry.
.
“Our technical team at Empire has significantly improved
the design and construction of the em71 for the rigors
of today’s fast-paced construction site environment,”
said Becker. “We believe the addition of the new em71
magnetic series will help craftsmen save time and money
while they produce the highest quality projects possible.
With True Blue®, the only limitation is the standards
of the craftsman.”
.
The em71 is being sold in more than 4,000 locations throughout
the U.S.

New Series Offers Maximum Accuracy, Extreme Durability
Download

MUKWONAGO, Wis. June 29, 2005
— The e70, the first box level in the new True Blue® professional
series of measuring instruments from Empire Level Mfg.
Corp., is now available in more than 4,000 locations throughout
the U.S. and will soon be available in 500 additional
locations in the United Kingdom and Australia. Among the
many features of the new e70 box level is the unique,
patented True Blue® solid block acrylic vial, which contains
blue fluid, rather than the traditional yellow fluid,
as a symbol of enhanced accuracy, readability and durability.
.
“Empire has reached a new milestone in its history of
hand tool innovation with the introduction of the new
e70, part of the professional True Blue® series which
sets higher standards for accuracy, readability and durability,”
said Jenni Becker, President of Empire Level. “This new
design is the result of field research conducted into
the primary requirements of the professional user. We
asked them ‘What makes using a level easier for you?’
Then we observed how they work and where we could improve.”
.
The on-site job research showed that one of the key requirements
of a good level is the ability to read it quickly and
accurately, in virtually all lighting conditions. Critical
to the True Blue® system are two dark outer blue bands
at each end of the vial that highlight the outer perimeter
of the bubble, enhancing readability in 99% of standard
work lighting conditions. True Blue® vials are produced
through a new proprietary process called Advanced Concentric
Molding (ACM) which assures that all True Blue® vials
meet the same stringent standards for performance accuracy.
.
“As a symbol of the accuracy of our True Blue® vials we’ve
used blue fluid instead of the traditional yellow fluid,
so professionals know what to look for when searching
for the best,” said Becker. “With accuracy guaranteed
to five-ten-thousandth of an inch (.0005”/inch) in all
working positions, no level commercially available to
craftsmen is more accurate than our True Blue® series.”
Shock resistance, and protection from drops and falls,
is another thing professionals value in a level. To meet
the highest standard of performance the e70’s new E-Shock™
absorbing system, with end caps made of a soft elastomer,
was subjected to multiple drop tests on concrete at varying
heights between six and 10 feet, to test all horizontal
and vertical reads. After the drop tests, the True Blue®
e70 maintained its accuracy and frame integrity after
all other tested levels failed. After numerous drops,
the e70 was still accurate within .0005” inch in all level
and plumb reading positions. This standard of accuracy
is equivalent to a maximum error of only one-thirty-seconds
of an inch (one-half the width of a dime) over six feet.
“Everyone knows that levels get dropped at the work site,”
said Becker. “What good is a level if it doesn’t stay
accurate even after it’s dropped? Based on our stringent
testing, we’re confident that in head-to-head tests, the
e70 from Empire will be the last level standing!”
.
Other features of the e70 include:
• tapered high contrast bezels that frame vials in all
reading positions;
• dual-density grips providing better ergonomics and ease
of use; and
• a lifetime limited warranty, the strongest warranty
in the industry.
.
“Our technical team at Empire has significantly improved
the design and construction of the e70 for the rigors
of today’s fast-paced construction site environment,”
said Becker. “We believe the e70, and other levels in
our True Blue® professional series will help craftsmen
save time and money while they produce the highest quality
projects possible. With True Blue®, the only limitation
is the standards of the craftsman.”
.
